So what kind of world would we have where robots can (potentially) take over many jobs, is this the world where we live in a constant bliss – about what the “machines can do for us”.

One of the thing that strikes me are that current “unregulated approach” to applying robotics and enhancement into our daily live; to put it bluntly – we need someone to take a stand and say: “Just because it can be done by a machine, it doesn’t have to be done by one” – and also a general discussion of how we secure that the robot (oncoming) workforce are actually working to our benefit, instead of removing jobs (and employment / income) for the low wage workers without replacing their chance and opportunity to “make a decent days pay”.
It seems obvious for everyone – that Robots will become a major part of our future. We strive to make the “repetitive” work process more automated, and as time goes by, the service industry will see robots becoming a part of our daily live.
In a recent article (FastCompany) many topics was taken into consideration – I think there are a few important actions to consider.
For the first time in my life, I watched (most) of the Apple announcement for this September release, and it is amazing how mobile has taken an impact into our life, or should I rather say how little focus the “normal” desktop has been given for quite some time.
This is a post i wanted to write for some time; since i feel that the Windows Mobile Experience does not get the credit that it has coming for it, nor does it get the recognition that it (imho) should have.
I have since late 2013 been an avid Ambassador of Windows Phone, starting my experience based on recommendation from a friend (thanks, Thomas – you know who you are) who at that time was rather engaged in the Microsoft World …. He has later moved to an organisation, where he was exposed to the “horror of iphone’s” – which made him wish a desire for a way to return.
Let me start by clarify – I am an Prosumer – Professional Consumer of Phones, who has the need for a reliable “workhorse” that does what it say on the box, and a very limited amount of applications – as long as the basic service works as indented.
I do not consider my phone – the home of a “gazillion of applications” and i am not in the “pissing competition of who has most applications” – i am rather looking at the combined experience of the phone and services – once i have it in my hand.
Just to be certain that people do understand what can be done, and what ”should be done” in regards to secure your family in regards to access to the internet. Several of you parents (from my kids school) have reached out to me, to ask what they can do to secure and log “improper communication” on behalf of their kids. This situation already do provide me with a very unpleasant “vibe” since it should not be necessary to “log our kids” nor should we need to explain what and how to behave in school (or online).
All types of security for home (kids and adults) start with education. Do your kids decide what software to install on their devices, do they have only know people in their “friend list” and do they know what is prudent to share on the internet.
I have taken some time to speak and educate my family around the challenges on the internet. What are you supposed to do on the net, what is proper behaviour, what can insult people. What kinds of links or emails can they click on, what is safe, and what would never happen in real world.
Example; if someone send you a message to click here to sign up for free “IPad, IPhone, Candy, or other physical presents, then it may not be the truth”. A bank, nor a company would (should) never ask for personal information, unless it has already been agreed upon, no person should deliver their personal address, phone number or information about their school, home or parents.
We all live and work in interesting days, and sometime we all seem to forget what a mutual exchange of information, feedback, praise and critics mean for us as individuals.
First of all, I think I would like to state that not everyone are entitled to provide a candid critism of anything, this is a gesture that are to be earned.
I appreciate open and honest feedback from people that I trust, people who know that I will also at the same time return the favour (or heat, depending on the situation) – sometime it can feel like a boxing match, but as long as you know that upon giving a punch .
