Its now time for us to move out of Odense in Denmark. We did, upon returning to Denmark after the 4 years in Singapore – decide to try out a new place to live; and Odense was the choice made by me.
We have now lived in the city since November 2004 – and have (for better and worse) been pretty pleased with the apartment in general – but we do look forward in moving into our house in Sweden.
We had a 4-room apartment in the Centre of the City – which have been an advantage in regards to Shopping and Activities for the Kids (and Elena) – but at the same time we had to live with certain Neighbors’ – and their special requirements in regards to the “Noise of Live”.
We had the opportunity of having a guy downstairs of our apartment – who were working on Nightshift – sleeping in Day hours. His desire was a quite apartment during the daytime, and sadly enough – the management of our house did not do anything to intervene – or somehow inform the person that people “normally live at day and sleep at night”.
I am sure that my kids do provide a “healthy noise level” – but at the same time, I don’t see anyone renting out apartment similar to ours, to a single individual. So a lesson learned about renting out apartment – DO check if anyone else are living with kids, and do ask them for their feedback.
