Departure and Arrival of Friends

Same day as we sent off Babusha from Copenhagen – time came to a very welcome visit from Singapore.. Gerd, Angi, Gabi and Daniella were on tour in Europe – stayed with their family in Germany, and took the time to come by to visit us in Odense, combined with a tour for all of us to Legoland.
Babusha

Well first of all – a short introduction. Gabi and Nikita was school mates back in Rosemount Kindergarten in Bedok (Singapore) and we had the pleasure of getting to know Angie and Gerd via our kids, had the pleasure to accept their several invitations to Barbecue and Dinner Events in their House in Singapore.

Once they informed us of their trip to Europe this summer, we had the hope that we could all meet up for a nice day in Odense / Legoland – and catch up on current event and more. Thursday afternoon – the friends arrived to Odense – and it was a pleasure to see how fast the kids did get a good time to play.

First thing upon arrival, we took a stroll through the City of Odense, letting the travellers (and the rest of us a chance to stretch our legs) – walking through the city – having Ice cream and snacks – before a peaceful evening and early to bed in a Bed and Breakfast place I knew in Odense – since we had plans to get into Legoland next morning.
Kids in Odense
11.am next morning – we had a chance to depart for Legoland, our kids were ecstatic and ready to go, the weather was fine and we took off. Arriving to Legoland after 1.5 hour – the weather now looked a little bit grimmer, and within 30 minutes after our arrival – it was raining cats and dogs. We ran for cover (in a Pizza Restaurant), but after 2 hours there – I went for Ponchos (Rain Coats) and we did proceed out in the Rain.

The Kids couldn’t care less about the rain, they rushed from one place to another, rides, rollercoaster and the craziest events were a part of their day, they did bake bread (snobrød) together with the Indians, they saw a theatre with the Knights and had a lot of fun.
So basically, we spent the whole day there (they close at 8.pm) and we were all back in Odense at 10.PM in the evening – all kids sleeping in the cars and parents also ready for bed time stories.
G&D
Saturday “late” morning we had brunch in our apartment and spent some quality time together, before Gabi and Family did proceed towards Germany. Wonderful way to spend 3 days, and wonderful time with our friends – you guys are really missed by all of us in Denmark. See the pictures from the visit here.

And to the rest of our friends from Singapore (and around the world), please give us a call, you should always be welcome to Odense.
